I Live Where The Sky Ends

I took a creative writing class my freshman year. Our teacher had us keep a daily journal which she collected routinely and would comment on. She liked to write in the margins or at the end of entries, commenting on what she had read. I wrote one particular entry that ended as follows:

"Same old story, different day. Hearts are broken all the time. Why is mine any different?"
And under it, she wrote, "Because it's yours."

This one's for her.

I don't care what you celebrate - Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, etc...A word to the wise, this time of year:

Give selflessly. Cherish sentimentally. Love unconditionally.

Say "Happy Holidays" to the toll booth people when you travel. It really does brighten their day. Smile at the woman wearing the Santa hat in the diner. She'll smile back, I guarantee. Put good out, get good back. Not a bad way to live, huh?

Whatever your holiday, enjoy it. It only comes around once a year, so revel merrily. Ho ho ho. =)
